WSPD’s popular “Sundown Series,” a progressive evening of art, music, food and film, continues this October 28th with events as follows:
5:30-7:30pm: Live music by Common Thread (Music is located in “The Lane” near Yeah! Burger).
6:00-7:00pm: A short reading, Q&A and book signing by Pulitzer prize-winning poet Natasha Trethewey. The reading will take place at 1198 Howell Mill Road, in the downstairs courtyard near JCT Kitchen.
7:00-9:00pm: A private, prix-fixe author dinner with Natasha Trethewey at JCT. Kitchen. JCT. Chef Brian Horn will collaborate with Natasha Trethewey to develop a unique menu inspired by themes in her poetry and flavors from her native region, the Gulf Coast. Each course will include wine pairings, and guests will receive a copy of of one of Tretheway’s books. Tickets to the dinner are $85, and seating is limited to 25. 7:30-9:00pm: Feature Film, Beetlejuice
A spooky story for sundown! Kick back and enjoy the fun, family romp Beetlejuice, presented by the Atlanta Film Festival. ***Films are shown in the “The Lane” near Yeah! Burger. In the event of inclement weather, we’ll move indoors to 1100 Howell Mill Road #A01, opposite Yeah! Burger.
